Preparing…..
I am sitting in the kitchen looking out the window at the
birds flocking to the bird feeder, eagerly vying for a spot to get a few seeds.
They are hungry and need fuel to stay warm as the cold temps have lingered day
after day in this cold fall. Snow has come and gone and then come and gone
again with only a few white snowy remnants hidden in the shady spots, but the
steady fall in temperatures is a sign to me winter has come early. Heavy frost is everywhere this morning and
although the sun is shining and the sky is blue it surely is a frosty Manitoba morning.
Our friends are calling and texting from the warmth of the Florida
sun wondering when we will arrive. The party
has started they say and why aren’t you here yet. They send pictures of
themselves in the pool and the empty chair waiting for me. I noticed they are already tanned and have big
smiles, looking relaxed, stress free and happy! Oh..…I can feel the south is
calling me.
Yes, the Florida sun is waiting and we are preparing to
leave for another winter away from the cold and snow. We leave on the 20th of November. It
is a bit earlier than usual but we want to avoid travel on the American
Thanksgiving weekend and Black Friday. That weekend is the busiest travel time of
the year in the USA. Hopefully, we will
arrive well before the mayhem and already be leisurely having our morning coffee
while watching the boats go by and spending our afternoons soaking up the sun
at the pool. I promise to strictly follow
the rule of no politics in the pool . 🙊 nor politics anywhere! Just sunshine and
happiness!😎😎😎
I will try and blog as often as I can and keep you up to
